M433 HEDP a by FirearmsandDevices M433 HEDP a by FirearmsandDevices
Cartridge, 40mm, HEDP (High Explosive Dual Purpose), M433.
US manufacture; 40 x 46mm low-velocity round for infantry grenade launchers (M203, M79); arming distance 14 - 27m (46 - 89ft); effective burst area - casualty radius: 130m (427ft)/ kill radius: 5m (16ft).
Impact detonates the bursting charge which forms an armor-piercing jet of molten metal and fragmentation of the projectile body.
Can penetrate 50mm (2in.s) of armorplate, 300mm (12in.s) of pine logs, 400mm (16in.s) of concrete blocks, or 500mm (20in.s) of sandbags at ranges up to 400m (1,312ft).
:icongangsterlovin:
The M433 multipurpose-round sees to it that even armored targets will have blood splattered all over the place, what with being able to penetrate up to 2 inches of plate armor!:w00t: I really cannot debate whether I like the M433 shell better than the M406 shell, or vise-versa.^^;
